About the Tapeless Studio
The Tapeless Studio is the magazine of audio recording on the PC. Actually, we may write about almost anything related to computers and audio. Our main focus is the PC, although we have nothing against the Mac or any of the proprietary platforms. Many of the software and hardware products we review are available for multiple platforms.
Although we cover the whole computer recording scene, from the porta-studio to the commercial studio, our main focus is in the middle. Our readers include engineers, musicians, broadcast people, and other everyday folk, who want to assemble a high-quality audio system on the PC. The guys at the very top tend to go for proprietary systems that give them the performance and reliability they need, without IRQ headaches, software conflicts, lame drivers, and that sort of PC thang. This mag is for the PC do-it-yourselfer. Grab a screwdriver, 2 or 3 soundcards, and your guitar! Let's Go!
Also, we have nothing against tape, digital or analog! We just don't write about it (much) here. We're the "Tapeless section of your Studio" if you prefer.
