mmsystem006 problem? Several solutions to the MMSYSTEM006 issue are available out there. This is the third solution from my list in the order of my personal opinion as to which is the most likely to solve your problem. Use ‘em all at your own risk, but one of these should do the trick.

You die-hard Windows 95 users have it a little tougher but you’ll manage. The secret is to follow these instructions to the letter. The MMSYSTEM006 error can be caused by incorrect entries in your system.ini file under the [drivers32] section. If you’re still running <gasp> Windows 3.x the necessary lines are in the [drivers] section.
For Windows 95 users, make sure the lines below exist and add ‘em if they don’t:
VIDC.CVID=iccvid.dll
VIDC.IV31=ir32_32.dll
VIDC.IV32=ir32_32.dll
VIDC.MSVC=msvidc32.dll
VIDC.MRLE=msrle32.dll
Windows 3.x users add the following lines if they don’t already exist:
VIDC.RT21=indeov.drv
VIDC.IV31=ir32.dll
VIDC.YVU9=indeov.drv
VIDC.IV32=ir32.dll
