Learn HTML In a Weekend, by Steven E. Callihan, is a self-guided
tutorial
to basic to advanced HTML. It is not intended only for
technical people, but anyone wanting to complement their computer
skills
to include HTML knowledge. With this in mind, the writing is not
technically verbose, but standard American English.

The appendices cover the following topics:
Appendix A - An HTML Quick Reference (including HTML 4.0)
Appendix B - Special Characters
Appendix C - What's on the CD?
The only requirement the author suggests for the reader is a
basic knowledge of Windows 95 and/or Windows 3.1 for the
software
tutorials.
I found Learn HTML in a Weekend, by Steven E. Callihan, to do just
that,
teach HTML. The book's name may suggest quickness, but it covers all the pertinent areas of HTML 3.2.
