trouble with integrating third party packages with Visual J++

I am using visual J++ 1.1 and trying to integrate third party packages with it. But inspite of setting the correct CLASSPATH and PATH variables Visual J++ compiler can't find the packages. I have the sun jdk installed and the javac compiler is able to find the packages.

Anyone see this before?
